Lord Mayor City of London Group Photograph

Lord Mayor

Lord Mayor of the City of London in Group Photograph.

Charles Bowman, Lord Mayor of the City of London 2017-18 joins the City of London Beadles’ Guild at Mansion House for a commerative group photograph.

Also joining the Lord Mayor in the group photograph were Yeoman Warders from the Tower of London and members of the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers of the HAC (Honourable Artillery Company.)

It was an honour to be able to photograph the Lord Mayor at Mansion House, his official residence in the City of London. The brief for this photo was to shoot the group and then construct an image for printing and framing for wall hanging, to include the names of all the individuals in the photo and the crests of the City of London and the Beadles’ Guild.

The photo itself was taken in the Old Ballroom where a two tiered platform had been erected to accommodate the participants from the Guild, the Tower and the HAC. A row of chairs was placed in front of the platform for the Lord Mayor and the senior members of the Beadles’ Guild.

The photo was captured using two off camera flashes on tripods with umbrella modifiers and a Canon 5DMkIII. Image post production was in Lightroom and Photoshop was used to construct layers containing the image, white background, text of the names and images of the crests, which were merged into a single image for printing.

We also offer a bespoke picture framing service, so after the completed photograph was printed using our professional print lab, we then set about framing several copies of the photograph for wall hanging in various City Halls. If you’d like to find out more about our handcrafted bespoke picture framing service, just drop us a line or give us a call and we’ll happily do our best to help you.
