Hilarious night out with Fawlty Towers lookalikes.
Pre-lockdown fun with Basil, Sybil and Manuel.
Some corporate events can be somewhat predictable, formal and boring, but this event was anything but predictable, formal or boring! For comedy lovers and Fawlty Towers fans this was a fully immersed Fawlty Towers experience. Thanks to the amazing talents of Edward Wells and his team from Fawlty Towers Events, this Fawlty Towers themed event was a hilarious fun filled riot of a night, full of crazy, spontaneous and unexpected happenings.
After Dinner Entertainment
The team at Direct Line Insurance hired Ed Wells and his team to provide the after dinner entertainment for their CEO awards held at Seckford Hall. Around 80% of the entertainment was interactive with the guests around the tables with Edward Wells at 6’7″ looking every inch a totally believable Basil taking the leading role and acting as after dinner MC.
Manuel – A Waste of Space
What a crazy night it was with Fawlty Towers lookalikes Basil, Sybil and Manuel meeting and greeting the guests. Basil announced dinner and instructed Manuel to lead the guests to their tables. Manuel was basically a waste of space, sending guests to the wrong tables, tripping up and dropping things.
Sybil – A Drunken Flirt
Sybil, who appeared to be wading her way through her second vat of wine was flirting with all the guests and making herself available to just about anyone.
Basil – The Hilariously Pompous Torquay Hotelier
Basil however was trying to offer a 5 star service as you’d expect from a top class Torquay Hotelier. Unfortunately due to his character as a hilariously pompous authority figure trying to blag his way out of his own shortcomings he wasn’t very successful.
This was one of the most entertaining, hilarious and chaotic corporate photography assignments I’ve ever had the pleasure to work on!
