It was a pleasure to photograph Diane Thompson CBE, Chief Executive (retired Oct 2014) of the Camelot Group who operate the National Lottery was headline speaker at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Alumni Event held at the Barber Surgeons Hall in the City of London.

Manchester Metropolitan University, is one of the largest University’s in the UK with its roots dating back to 1824. With an alumni network of over 250,000+ across the world; this event was the first event held in London for their London and South East based alumni and stakeholders.

The event attracted over 100 guests, which not only acted as a networking opportunity but also featured a musical performance from recent acting graduates and music from an alumni who is a well-known Manchester DJ.

A speech was also given by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor John Brooks.

As well as being the CEO of the Camelot Group until Oct 2014, Dianne Thompson CBE is also Chancellor of the University.

In the leading photograph Vice Chancellor Prof Brooks is presenting a bouquet to Dianne Thompson as thanks for her speech and services to the University.

Dianne Thompson CBE retired from the Camelot Group on 31 October 2014 after 14 years as Group CEO and 17 years with the company.

Dianne Thompson CBE led the company to become one of the world’s most successful lottery operators, raising billions of pounds for National Lottery Good Causes, making a life changing impact on individuals and communities in the UK.
