A wonderful Italian Wedding on the sun soaked Isle of Ischia in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Situated at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples in the turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea lies the Isle of Ischia, which was the romantic and beautiful location for Tony and Jo’s destination wedding.
Known for it’s spectacular views, mineral rich thermal waters, amazing food and superb weather, Tony and Jo chose the Isle of Ischia as their ideal location for their overseas wedding.
Tony’s family origins are Italian, with his father being Italian by birth having moved to the UK to make England his home many years ago. Because of Tony ‘s Italian heritage, Tony and Jo decided they would like to honour his families roots and get married in Italy and have abs Italian wedding. After much searching for a suitable location they fell in love with the Isle of Ischia while on holiday and decided to make this the location for their dream wedding.
Tony’s and Jo’s immediate family all made the trip from England to the Isle of Ischia for the wedding and Tina and I were honoured to be inviting along to take the photographs. The wedding party all flew to Naples and then caught the ferry to Ischia. The ferry crossing is a total delight and the Island is a volcanic gem with bubbling hot springs, wonderful beaches and a medieval castle… no wonder they chose this spectacular location for their wedding.
The wedding was a beautiful civil ceremony held in the Town Hall held of the picturesque seaside town of Forio and was blessed with wonderful weather on one of the hottest days of the year. The wedding party holidayed on the island for a whole week, perfect for smoking up the wonderful scenery and relaxing affecter a wonderful wedding.
