Sunset-Gt Finborough Church
Sunset-Gt Finborough Church ….what a beautiful sunset…What a beautiful evening! I captured this beautiful scene from my friend’s farm drive in late July. That’s the advantage of being an Ipswich Photographer, you have the beautiful Suffolk countryside right on your doorstep. The atmosphere was nearly still and completely silent but for the slightest whisper as the warm evening air gently kissed the wheat in the field.
The church in the photo is St Andrew’s Church in the village of Gt Finborough in Mid Suffolk, which stands in the grounds of Finborough Hall near the river Gipping.
The photo was taken using a Canon 5DMkiii mounted on a tripod. The sun suddenly turned red about two minutes before sunset and was tracking very fast towards the horizon. I had to set upu the camera, tripod and choose the camera settings in a matter of seconds, before the sun dipped below the horizon.
Camera settings were 1/125 @ f20 ISO 400 at 200mm
The Church has special significance to me as it is where my daughter got married and the farm from which the photo belongs to one of my best friends, so hopefully the image is a fitti g tribute to a beautiful area filled with so many good memories.
