The amazing ladies from the Blossom charity celebrate at the Women’s Cycle Tour 2019 launch.
The ladies from the Blossom charity were celebrating as their charity had been named as the event’s first community partner.
The Blossom Charity supports local women to achieve their dreams and build their confidence, and the Women’s Cycle Tour is the perfect example of women following their dreams with confidence.
I loved being part of the Women’s Cycle Tour 2019 launch event at Eye Castle. It was a great PR event celebrating the success of Beccles and Stowmarket in being chosen to host the Suffolk section of the OVO Women’s Cycle Tour earlier this summer.
As part of Britain’s longest-running professional women’s race, the opening stages of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour procycling race set off from Beccles on June 10th and ninety six of the countries best female riders followed the 98 mile route through north and central Suffolk to finish at Stowmarket.

Along with the ladies from the Blossom charity, community leaders and sponsors joined the pro-cyclists for the PR promo event at Eye Castle.
The photo above shows members from Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Council as well as the Mayor of Eye, along with Mick Bennet, the OVO Energy’s Women’s Tour Race Director.
