Tenorissimi photographed performing live at the Grocers’ Hall in the City of London.
Tenorissimi is a unique and very entertaining group of three tenors inspired by the well-known ‘Three Tenors,” ‘Plácido Domingo, José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti. Tenorissimi perform a stunning repertoire from opera arias to incredible art songs from around the world.
The group first performed at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2009 and is composed of musicians from Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Tenorissimi focuses its repertoire in Neapolitan, Italian, English and Spanish songs with some extraordinary arias from the renowned Operatic world including the world famous Nessun Dorma , the much loved La donna e` mobile and the eternally popular O sole mio.
Matteo Dalle Fratte, Alberto Sousa, Alex Tsilogiannis provide the group’s amazing vocals in combination with with Maite Aguirre on piano. Maite is a Spanish concert pianist and conductor based in London. She is the Director, Head of Piano and member of the Piano faculty of the Academia de Musica, Assistant Conductor at Grange Park Opera, and conductor of BLP Choir . She also runs her own practice in Tulse Hill, the South London Piano Studio
Their performances are mainly composed of trios and medleys where the audience is able to appreciate individual operatic interpretation. To add to the visual and artistic drama, they move freely amongst the audience, often engaging or singing directly to individual members of the audience. They also encourage the audience to join in with their performance, by singing along or energetically waving napkins to animate the music.
This group of photographs was taken at their wonderful performance for the City of London Beadle’s Guild, held at the Grocers’ Hall in the City of London, where they delighted and entertained the spellbound audience.
