To celebrate International Women’s Day Suffolk County Council CEO gets together with runners from the Blossom charity.
This fun filled PR photo shoot on International Women’s Day brought Suffolk County Council Chief Executive Deborah Cadman together with the runners who will be supporting the Blossom charity at the Great East Run in September.
The Blossom Charity are making their mark this year by encouraging women to take part in the Great East Run to help improve their confidence and self esteem. The charity, which helps women change their lives is using sport to boost confidence for International Women’s Day.
Suffolk County Council is aiming towards Suffolk becoming the Most Active County in the country and to improving the health and wellbeing of all its residents. The Council is encouraging everyone, male or female, to be more active, which is why on International Women’s day Deborah Cadman was on the banks of the river Orwell in sight of the iconic Orwell Bridge supporting the runners from the Blossom charity.
The Blossom Charity has become the local nominated charity partner for the Great East Run which takes place on Sunday September 24th.
The photo shoot was held at the Suffolk Food Hall, Wherstead near Ipswich. The brief was to get group shots for use in the East Anglian Daily Times of the ladies showing the Blossom Charity branding on the runners race numbers. The key was to try and get shots showing unity in the group, while having fun with the Orwell Bridge in the background.
Fortunately for me, the ladies were all up for having their photos taken and for having some fun, including Deborah Cadman. The ladies certainly had a great time and this turned out to be a really enjoyable, fun filled photo shoot on a glorious spring morning!
