Whether its an indoor, outdoor, commercial or private location we come to you, saving you time, money and the inconvenience of travelling to a studio, or you can come to our studio if you prefer.
Quick set up and seamless service
Set up in minutes and easily assembled in a relatively small space, our mobile photo studio comes complete with a full studio lighting rig, light modifiers, soft boxes, grids, coloured gels and a wide variety of backgrounds, props and accessories. These include illuminated ” Hi Lite – High Key” backgrounds for 100% pure white backgrounds, “Low Key” backgrounds, portrait backgrounds, suburban and grunge backgrounds, smoke machine, high intensity fan, props and light tent cubes for reflective product photography. *See below for equipment specs, space and set up requirements.
Our service also includes full post production editing in Photoshop and Lightroom, with on-line galleries for image viewing, downloading and ordering professional quality prints.

Roaming lighting rigs – No power, no problem
For occasions where roaming or highly mobile fast moving lighting is required or where there is no power source we have a number of radio controlled, battery powered off camera and on camera lighting rigs and portable backdrops suitable for any commercial or private location.
Mobile studio space and set up requirements
We have four basic on location studio and lighting set ups:
1) Large studio lighting rig – For large events, groups, couples, full body portraits and large product photography
Minimum space required is 12ft x 16ft or 12 ft x 12ft depending on the set up, with access to power-points.
Set up comprises a rig of up to 6 radio controlled mono block studio lights with modifiers and 6 radio controlled off camera speed-lites, softboxes, grids, gels, gobos, smoke machines props and fans and a large variety of backgrounds and backdrops.
For “Hi Key” 100% pure white backgrounds we use illuminated “Hi lite” backgrounds with optional white vinyl floor covering / train for full body length and group photos. Space required approx 12 x 16ft. If no train or floor covering is required a min space of approx 12ft x 12ft is needed. Our large free standing illuminated “Hi-lite-High Key” background is 8 x 7ft . Our smaller free standing illuminated “Hi-lite-High Key” background is 6 x 7ft. Hi Lite illuminated backgrounds allow the subject to stand close to the background without casting a shadow or using a background light to the rear, so taking up less space.
Our seamless non reflective paper / fabric backgrounds are available in multiple colours and patterns on rolls. Supported by an adjustable support system they are available in multiple widths from approximately 1.35mts, 2.08 mts, 2.72mts and extra wide at 3.56 mts with roll lengths up to 35mts. Colours, widths, lengths and availability may alter. We also have a large selection of collapsable / pop up urban and grunge backgrounds.
2) Medium studio lighting rig – For events, half body portraits, headshots, smaller products and interiors
A minimum space of approx 10ft x 11ft is needed with access to power-points.
Used for shoots where less space is available or shoots requiring smaller backdrops or no backdrops at all. To produce 100% pure white “Hi Key” backgrounds on shoots with smaller spaces we use a 137 cm Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox as the illuminated (lit) background powered by a single Elinchrom mono block studio head. If full body shots are required a little more space may be needed and we may use our smaller free standing illuminated “Hi-lite-High Key” background which is 6 x 7ft. Our non reflective paper / fabric backgrounds in multiple colours and patterns on rolls with adjustable support system are available from approximately 1.35mts, 2.08 mts, 2.72mts and extra wide at 3.56 mts. Colours, widths and availability may alter.
3) Small studio lighting rig – For small spaces, difficult access locations or no power points
May require a space as little as 6ft x 6ft.
Uses radio controlled battery powered speedlite flashes, small softbox light modifiers or shoot through umbrellas. Normally used where space is at a premium, access is difficult or there is no power source available. Suitable for events, portraits, headshots, small products, interiors, fashion and food photography. Employs small or pop up backgrounds or no background at all in combination with multiple off camera flash setups or single unit on camera flash setups. This set up can also be used to photograph stage presentations, groups or awards etc.
4) Roaming lighting setup
No space requirements, free roaming radio controlled battery powered lighting.
Used internally or externally on location where the light needs to follow a moving subject or subjects such as events, weddings, environmental portraits, fashion shoots or product photography etc. Uses radio controlled battery powered off camera speedlite flash units, soft boxes, light modifiers, gels and gobos, either on portable light stands, light poles held by assistant photographer or on camera camera flash with a variety of on camera light modifiers. This set up can also be used to photograph stage presentations, groups or awards etc.
Photo studio equipment and accessories
Canon full frame cameras and lenses:
Our camera and lens kit includes multiple professional full frame Canon camera bodies and Canon’s highest quality “L” series professional lenses including prime and zoom lenses from macro, wide angle, portrait, standard and super zoom lenses with full lens filter systems.
Professional Elinchrom studio lighting:
We use Elinchrom Mono Block Studio Lighting rigs with a wide range of diffused soft boxes, umbrellas, light modifiers reflectors, grids, scrims, gobos and colour gels that provide powerful, creative and flattering light to enhance your images. For most events we usually run with a 3 to 6 light set up.
High speed Canon 600 EX-RT Speedlite flash units:
Off camera and on camera Speedlites and soft boxes are used when mobility and freedom of movement is required, or there is no available mains power or space is at a premium. Radio controlled for remote off camera triggering, these units are used for spectacular image capture of high speed action or fast moving objects, liquids, people, events portraits, product shots and much more.
100% pure white illuminated “High Key” backgrounds:
For live events, portraits, executive head shots, fashion, product and still life shoots we use the latest “High Key” lighting technology to produce 100% pure white backgrounds. Our rear lit illuminated Hi-Lite backgrounds are available in two different sizes from 6 x 7ft to 8 x 7ft and allow us to produce the highest quality “High Key” photography on location and in restrictive spaces. By rear lighting the white background itself there is no longer a need to use a background light behind the subject. Furthermore, because the background is actually illuminated it means the subject can stand virtually right in front of it without casting a shadow. We also attach full length white vinyl trains to our Hi -Lite backgrounds enabling full length and group shots for events, portraiture, fashion or product shots.
Low Key and Mid Key backgrounds:
Need Low Key or Mid keys shots? No problem. We are able to quickly switch from a high key to a low or mid key lighting environment on location in a matter of minutes if required. Our “Hi-Lite” illuminated back grounds have black reverse sides for “Low Key” photography and can be used as a grey background if not illuminated, making it very quick and easy to get a variety of different looks from the same background or we can use our large selection paper and fabric backgrounds.
Seamless paper and fabric backgrounds:
Our superior seamless and non reflective photographic paper and fabric backgrounds are available in a wide assortment of colours, patterns, widths and lengths. Paper comes on a roll and is supported by a flexible support system. Rolls are available in multiple widths from approximately 1.35mts, 2.08 mts, 2.72mts and extra wide at 3.56 mts with lengths up to 35 mts. Widths, lengths, colours and availability may alter.
Urban and grunge collapsable backgrounds:
To enhance your shoot or just to make it more fun, we carry a wide range of urban collapsable backgrounds. Our urban collapsible backgrounds allow us to create the outdoor look in an instant and add a unique feel and extra dimension to our portrait, product, fashion or advertising shoots. No longer do we have to find outside locations or be controlled by the weather.

Online gallery:
Images from your mobile photo studio shoot or event will be uploaded to your private password protected on-line gallery on our website and will be available for a limited period after your event or photo shoot. From here you and your guest will be able to view, purchase and download high resolution digital images in jpeg format and order professional quality prints directly from our website after your shoot or event.
